That there is filter a sponge

Filters-sponges provide the effective and cheap form of a biological filtration. Water is compelled to pass through foam rubber, as a result of work of a pomp. Current of water through a sponge allows to develop on it to colonies of useful bacteria which will neutralize poisonous ammonia.
One of kinds of such filters uses two sponges located on one pomp. Such filters have the advantage, consisting that sponges can be cleared on one, reducing that loss of bacteria. Also, one of sponges can be removed and placed in a new aquarium, bringing that in it colonies of useful bacteria. Thus, "start" of a new aquarium is carried out. Some advanced pet-shops sell such sponges to beginners together with a new aquarium. They take one of new sponges from the complete set of an aquarium and replace with its old sponge being in work in the established aquarium in their shop. Such sponge bear home in a polyethylene package, and connect houses to the filter.
